Jerry Lewis was never great. Just an asshole, his whole life. His kids would hide when he would come home becUse he would go into a fit of rage and holler and scream at them every day. He was a non talent jerk.

His Telethons have raised $2.5 billion.  That alone cements his legacy, whether he's a dick or not.   At 90 I'd be a dick too if I had a shitty no-name interviewer from Hollywood Reporter in my home.

lol- I like the guy now :) Who knows what the back story was- maybe the reporter had been bothering for an interview so he finally gave him one to shut him up, haha.

As for people saying he was a jerk throughout his life, who the Hell really knows unless you personally knew him? Lots of crap stories always come out of Hollywood trying to paint people in a bad light.

I wonder how much of the 2+ Billion actually went to the kids. For years people said Jerry Lewis took a large amount of the funds. Don't know how true that is but for decades it look like the kids never got better. Same shit every single year. While this guy was living in paradise.

The news media fucked up his place and was barking orders to him prior to the interview so Jerry made them pay for it.  He's had multiple interviews this year.  Those old Las Vegas folks don't fuck around.  Jerry is part of that Sinatra gang.  If he ask for a drink, you better serve him straight whiskey with no chaser or ice. 

In conclusion...don't fuck with Jerry Lewis... ;D

  • He was good when he was  a comedian working with a  director....The second he was put in charge of his own pictures was when he became the Jerry Lewis we all dislike.
  • He invented video assist for film shoots...that is he thought of having a video camera looking through the film camera viewfinder and videotaping so you can see takes without having to wait for the film to be processed.
  • He would try things out on 16mm sound home movies with his friends in the cast.
