Just seems stupid to tattoo your name on yourself. Like wearing a fucking name tag for the rest of your life.

I got my first tattoo 23 yrs ago and now pretty much covered except for neck and above. I have won numerous awards for my ink at conventions. Tattoos are a personal choice down to whether to even get one or not. But I am with you on this one, what is the point of getting your own name tattooed on your body. In case you forget it?? Maybe they were in sports and was used to having their name on their jersey, hell I don't get it.

You may have done this already but make sure and do your homework on an artist. All tattoo artists have their specialty. Fine one that specializes in the style you are getting. Then look on their instagram and go to the shop and check out their portfolio. Don't be in a hurry!

i think it is acceptable if you have some kinda family legacy thing going. but if youre just 'smith' theres little point in it

yes, I already did that. From what I understand he's a well known artist that's literally with in walking distance from my house. Rock stars, athletes, actors, etc. I'm looking for a black and gray scale tattoo

When I took over the strength and conditioning program at the school I'm at now, for motivation and incentive, I told the team if they won so many games this past season I would get the schools football logo tattooed on my arm. To understand the motivation, the school's football program had an average record of 1-9 for the past 14 seasons. This season we went 4-6 just missing a wildcard playoff spot (which technically we should have been in but CIF rules changed this year). That being said, I'm keeping my promise to my team.

getting a tattoo for a losing season is a perfect loser reason to get one.
