Its the low tier / cheap stuff that brakes down at first use. I dont understand why they produce and sell such low quality. (Those cheap kids toys for example). But China is also the best in mass manufacturing of high quality good. They have the best factorys and production facilities in the world. Its the cheap crap that gives china a bad rep.
They only do it because it sells.

Remember that.

I think they are a bit of both  ???

Dunno, I bet they blow shit up all the same.

During a break from the Christmas festivities I took the time to research and find examples of the fine selection of women on offer from Sri lanka
Denari must be the envy of all the local lads with his stunning bride

China can make high quality products.

However consumers in America demand the cheapest item by what they purchase without caring enough about the quality.

Therefore the importer looks to get the cheapest item otherwise it won't sell.

So it's fundamentally your fault they broke.

False.  Companies demand the cheapest since it yields a fatter margin.  They make a point of disguising origin, even going so far as to lobby for loophole legislation to allow foreign manufactured goods to say Made In USA.

It's understood that a plastic knickknack isn't going to be as skookum as a tank but the consumer isn't at fault when an item simply won't perform as advertised.

If a high quality product came out of China who's gonna believe it at this point?  They were content to dig themselves into the crappy reputation hole for a buck.  You gonna buy something that really counts from China?  Not me.

This thread made me want to compare how well made in China products work compared to Made in USA products work, but I couldn't find any products that were made in USA.

Made in China products are good for capitalism, hence they are good for America.

(If sarcasm could walk, it'd be going swat on the exit door right about now).

Warren Buffet said this seriously.  "The economy is healthier than ever.  Capitalism works."

Then he qualified it. "On aggregate."

I was 'O I C.'  Doesn't matter where the dollars go.  Just that there are record profits.  This is where Trump meets Sanders.  I hope.

Many years ago, in a country called The United States of America, Samuel Gompers once said, to the rich patron's agreement, that "as the economic situation of the country improves, the attention ought to be gradually moved from the elites to the dregs".

Personally, I think we're past the point of no return. There's no way to go back to the gold standard and to bring back American jobs from overseas. We've had the worst trio of presidents in the history of atomic matter (Clinton/Bush Jr./Obama). They've dealt the three worst blows to the American Dream: Clinton was the one that signed the train wreck that culminated with the subprime mortgage crisis (putting a huge dent on one of the tenets of The Dream: to own a house,) Bush was just SO FUCKING DUMB that VP Cheney probably let 9/11 happen just so that his company could steal the oil in the Middle East (he didn't give a shit about putting the country through another war,) and now Obama, running on a "Change" ticket, with most American's hopes and dreams deposited on his dumb ass, does his best to change absolutely NOTHING.

So, in summary, enjoy the show. Your vote does not matter. You're not part of the movie, you're just watching it. Your well being is just one rich guy's [ENTER] key away from being laid off. Especially since capital is allowed to roam freely in the milliseconds category but we gringos' internal organs get internally roasted by an x-ray machine when travelling a mere 200 miles away.

What kills me isn't China. Or products that are made in China. What kills me is that whoever we vote into office will not have the smarts to ensure the perpetuity of the American Dream. Take for example Billy Jizz Clinton: Guy happily signed both, treaties to allow telecommunications companies to lay enough cable to build a bridge to Pluto and laws that allowed US Corporations to partially outsource some of their functions to some God Forsaken country just so that they could pay their CEOs more. Neither the president nor his "hawks" or "community organizers" or "community lawyers" or "Nobel Prize winner economists" had the wits to understand what was at play. Because they are too fucking STUPID.

There will be a day in which the Warren Buffets of this country will own 99.99% of it.

Both ways. They demand cheaper product to make fatter margin but the cheaper product is still being sold cheaper than others because of consumers buying.

Lets say someone made a better quality product and took less margin so competed evenly with cheaper products. But that's not happening. It's not like companies can make huge margins when Walmart demands to buy and then sell stuff so cheap.

Can you give an example of a better quality product with a lower margin? I can think of a company like vizo that offered cheaper retail televisions that were a decent quality because they had cheaper labor and resources but even in that case vizo isnt viewed as an elite brand.

R&D and marketing is where the cost is passed onto the consumer. People develop brand loyalty and we pay for an image/status.

There are items at the dollar store that are cheaper than walmart offers (in my example I'm referring to big league chew gum).

Companies that order in mass qualities can dictate price. Many times a company will lower margins to minimal levels just to be in large box stores hoping to make up "lost" money on the volume sold.

To even make a lower quality product requires a lot of effort just in production  (different raw materials and manufacturing facilities) thats why several different clothing lines will be made in the same plant and the changes are made when applying logos, its cheaper to outsource.

Ha, me and my buddies used it do it on an ancient Craftsman of all things when we were young. Lateral load be damned. Now I just beg favors from friends with Bridgeports.
