I read the post, followed the link you provided and listened (as best I could) to her speak. I did not look into this further before responding to your post. Since having done so, my take on this has changed.
Nancy Kraus a retired nurse called child protective services after parents expressed concerns about high school’s Turning Point USA event. She is also a political activist, so she may have had an agenda other than what she claimed. Anyone who suspects child abuse is required by law to report it to CPS or Social Services. Regardless of whether it actually occurred or not. This is the law in all 5O states. Good-faith reporters are protected. However, if Krause intentionally made a false report, she broke the law and is subject to civil liability and criminal charges. So, if this is the case, you are correct, she's got problems and although unlikely, she could end up in jail.“Nancy,” told attendees at a Calvert County school board meeting on February 12 that kids had been put at risk because adults were not allowed to attend the event. Apparently, she and the parents were mistaken because, supposedly, a limited number of parents and school staff were allowed to attend the event according to student leader, Luke Grover.
