Anthony Bourdain slams ‘privileged’ liberals for ‘utter contempt’ of working class



Celebrity chef and self-described “privileged Eastern liberal” Anthony Bourdain slammed his fellow leftist elites this week, arguing that their disdain for working-class Americans helped create “the upswell of rage and contempt” that propelled Donald Trump to the presidency.

“The utter contempt with which privileged Eastern liberals such as myself discuss red-state, gun-country, working-class America as ridiculous and morons and rubes is largely responsible for the upswell of rage and contempt and desire to pull down the temple that we’re seeing now,” Bourdain said in an interview with Reason magazine.

“I’ve spent a lot of time in gun-country, God-fearing America,” Bourdain continued. “There are a hell of a lot of nice people out there, who are doing what everyone else in this world is trying to do: the best they can to get by and take care of themselves and the people they love. When we deny them their basic humanity and legitimacy of their views, however different they may be than ours, when we mock them at every turn and treat them with contempt, we do no one any good.”

I like Bourdain and admire his views, that that part of America that was extremely racist (some still is) will not be converted by pointing the finger and insulting the folks that live in it. It's best to always let them speak and listen to the message.

Even when you listen to the KKK buffoons, if you strip the rants of all the macho racist bullshit, there is a clear message, a human message, that people ridicule because they can't concentrate on the content and instead put all their attention on the adjectives/insults. Same with folks like Malcom X or Louis Farrakhan.  

People like Obama and his constant mild-mannered rants go "unnoticed" by the media even when his BAD DECISIONS (using the US Government to get irrationally hostile toward China or Russia in geopolitical and economic moves that we need not get into) put ALL Americans at risk. I agree.  They lost their way because they were influenced to sell-out is one way to look at it, and that's what allowed neocons to take them over.  We really need to "Get Money Out Of Politics" like Ozmo says.  During the campaign I watched Trump say it, too, and he mentioned that we're on a "crash course" because of that, and it's true.

From my observation the real Trump movement started when Obama sent his atty gen Eric Holder to
Ferguson, Missouri. They investigated with the default setting of suspicion of the police.
Many dems embraced the BLM side and alienated many middle class white's .
