I always wonder about this, if I am lifting some heavy ass weights with proper form good range of motion high intensity to failure how is this going to injure me, makes absolutely no sense I think people say this because they are lazy and dont want to workout hard.

What does "balls to the wall" even mean?

Is it like "balls deep"?

Why to the wall?  ???

If Dorian had trained smarter he would have won at least 2 more Olympias, even he is quoted as saying he should have eased up during prep.

once momentum takes over during an exercise you are wide open to injury.

people always train with perfect form until the time when theyre not. and this is way more likely to happen with heavy weights and/or when youre exhausted.

That is what most people got wrong dorian was not injured because he trained hard it was because he did not take any breaks if he felt a pain in his body he would ignore it and still train.

Being anaesthetized by the boatloads of painkillers and androgens he was taking didn't help either.

This is true, from the horse's mouth.

And back off periods out of season instead of pushing it all the time no matter what.

isnt that the definition of balls to the wall training?

Most sensible people these days have realised that you dont need to train to failure every set , and keep hoisting heavy weights.

Train sensibly with good form and range of motion and you will gain as much as your genetics will allow.

That is the reason why you are in a rut have not made a single gain in years and keep making excuses that you are maxed out, you are still training like a beginner you are not using intensity and going to failure to damage your muscle so they can grow bigger, all you are doing is light stimulation on your muscles so  they wont shrink but at the same time they wont get any bigger, because you are so damn lazy and afraid of hard training and free weight you are not getting results.
