Actually Vince and Coach put up with a lot of shit.  Granted they do bring it on themselves to some the extent.  However, they have figured the Internet out enough to know that melting down and getting nasty goes nowhere.  They are real posters and provide entertainment.  I doubt neither is that negative in real life.

You proved my point. His non bodybuilding posts are just that, full of fluff. His dire need of being wanted and accepted has brought him to this, making posts about his lifestyle. He doesn't realize, you're laughing at him, not with him.

I think you're presuming a lot of things, there, chief.

For one thing, I don't read Vince's threads and laugh at him.  I actually have a respect for Vince and the hustler he is, within his particular socio-economic circumstance.  I find this threads interesting because they depict a very different life to me.  Quirky is more my feeling about his threads.

Secondly, this concept of "dire need of being wanted" is flagrantly exaggerative, given the fact he does not post these threads particularly regularly.

Thirdly, you seem to assume that Vince has no idea that people make fun of his circumstance when it is more likely Vince doesn't give a fuck.

Two people that I find intriguing are Vince G. and Coach. Both post regularly and never get vulgar or go out of their ways to get nasty BUT are far from being
positive.

Coach. Owns a gym and puts "athletes" through rigorous training. Knows many types of different exercises and techniques BUT never shares anything on GetBig about them. It seems Coach is a businessman. Comes on here to promote himself and get his name out there. Most of his clientele are kids and Coach Knows that 80% of the posters on GetBig are kids.
Coach knows his knowledge is his meal ticket so he never helps anyone. What it boils down to with Coach, money talks!
Would it hurt to post about different training techniques and injury recuperation exercises for the fitness buff or bodybuilder? Would it hurt to pass on years of  knowledge to the newer generation? It just seems Coach is busy with a political agenda. Maybe he really doesn't care about politics but knows its a hot topic for some
and will rattle cages.

Vince. Loves bodybuilding but never has enough moxie or fortitude to push himself to do it. What we know about Vince, He lives in NC, he's gay and is part of the lower income class. He however loves to promote himself even though there is really nothing to promote. Vince offers nothing to the public but controversy and laughs.
Vince has entered bodybuilding contests in the past. Some of his outings have been nothing to write home about. Now personally I give Vince kudos for trying and its very good he sets goals in his weight loss regimen. Vince race baits on Getbig. He stirs the pot with race related topics on a board that should be about bodybuilding and bettering oneself. Loves to relish in the freedom of coming on GetBig and talking about his life.

Coach. Stop with all politics. You are a business and many potential customers don't share your views and some will even be turned off. Start sharing! Post about things you know about. Start helping people on here and you'll see your business grow and you'll feel better about yourself. Think about all the time you'll save when your not worrying about politics.

Vince. Stop with all posts non bodybuilding related. Be colour blind. Stop looking at yourself as a victim. Start asking more questions to people on Getbig that are willing to help you reach your fitness goals. Start networking with GetBiggers to get you where you want to go.


Conclusion


People that are anti sociall focus on very few threads but write/post a lot. They use vulgarity and attacks to make themselves relevent. Some even go as far as posting
questionable subjects just to engage and get a rise. Vince and Coach are borderline cyber bullies. They don't go out of there way to attack but do post subjects that
are "hot" and very contraversal. Now, we can look at this as Vince trying to "brand" himself and just trying to be relevant and wanted in a community since he may
feel unwanted in his own. Coach with his political views may just want to disrupt Getbig furthing the promoting of himself. When you think of hardcore conservative on
GetBig, who comes to mind? See where I'm going?
People only repeat bad behavior if it pays off for them. Vince and Coach has somehow benefiting from doing this. Please contact me if you need further help.

So you find Vince's threads interesting? They peak your curiosity? They engage your attention? That's not saying much. Vince seeks attention and he knows there are haters but also people that will follow him. Some people (which could be you) like seeing his threads as they get a "rise" out of a person struggling and yearning for acceptance. Some people like seeing people fail.  It's a vicarious thrill. It allows us to get so very close to humiliation, to danger, to abject terror and yet walk away clean. Wow! This provides a great sense of comfort and security, power and control. It's such a high it can be addicting. This is why GetBig has people like you...and Skeeter, Be There, Wes, Walter, etc. etc. You fuel it and love being "better" that the Vince's, Shizzo's, Pumpsters.
When we consider pleasure-in-others'-misfortune as pertaining to minor misfortunes and involving our belief that justice has been done and that we are not responsible for eliciting the misfortune, then this emotion is not so reprehensible from a moral point of view. The conventional view, which severely condemns pleasure-in-others'-misfortune, stems from considering cruelty and sadism as prototypical cases of this emotion. We have seen that this view is mistaken. Now, would it hurt you or be hard for you to be nice for one week and not judge people on this forum?
