I've had it for a decade. It was devastating at first but you get used to it. It gets worse when your tired, drink alcohol and or lots of caffeine.

Don't listen to it!

Seriously, my Mom had it. We took her to every kind of doctor, and dentists too. She was prescribed all kinds of drugs. Nothing worked.

I was going to my chiropractor, an old style, no nonsense, bone crusher, and I asked him about it. He said "Bring her in!"

When I brought her, he put her on the table, turned her head one way, then the other. I heard a loud crack, both times. He worked on her jaw bone too. He sat her up, and asked how she felt. She, in a quite surprised voice, said, "Fine!" He had her back for a few more visits, for repeat adjustments, then told her if it comes back, we'll do more. It never came back!

That is because tinnitus can also be caused by neck problems if that is the case then a chiropractor will take care of it but if thats not the case its a waste of time.

haha. I know it can help. I've help people with it. I've had people get tinnitus after car accidents.  Problem is I can't adjust myself. I'm going to see my buddy in Pittsburgh tomorrow. I'm going to get some ginkgo too.

I will be honest it does not help in all cases, if it was caused by some kind of head or neck injury like blows to the head etc you might not see much difference, if this is not the case then go ahead and use it.

I don't know if you're concerned with it but anti-depressants often worsen tinnitus.

Your advice is very dated. You live in the the late 90's.

Vinpocetine is the supplement of choice here. It should definitely help.

I notice it worst at night in bed when everything is quiet. 45 mins before bed, take 1000mg taurine and 250-500mg bacopa. This helps me enormously. Let me know how ou get on!

What do you do with those, put it in your ears? Fact of the matter is that tinnitus is a sound in the ears or head which is not from an external source. Most of the shooters and metal workers has it, it has been studied through decades, and there is no cure for it. It is a major challenge for occupational health organizations etc. so there is no easy fix. Newest scam is sell some kind of "free" audio therapy for patients, and there is lot of other bullshit artist around this sickness.

How do you get it? Any source of ~100 dB will be enough to do it. If you listen music too loud with the earphones, you probably have it already. People who have it doesn't always know they have it, because there is too much back ground noise in their life. Want to know what is the funniest detail what I have ever heard about tinnitus? If it get as bad as it can be, it is possible to record that sound by microphone outside your ear. That is one fucking serious case of tinnitus  ;D
