Epic fail.  Still seems staged but funny nonetheless.  You think he'd be spitting up blood if real.

LAS VEGAS – David Blaine, master magician and illusionist, shot himself in the mouth as he performed one of his scariest tricks: the bullet catch.

While preparing for his television show Beyond Magic, Blaine was attempting to catch a bullet in his mouth. He was fitted with a gum shield that went in this mouth. The shield held a metal cup – and that’s what he would actually catch the bullet in.
ut the clip that aired on the show shows that this trick went wrong – in a big way. The metal cup slipped out of the gum shield. When the bullet hit, the shield shattered.

“I felt an impact in the back of my throat, and I was sure the bullet went right through my head and I was dead.”

He was taken to a hospital, where doctors found that he had a lacerated throat.

I call BS.  That trick has been done Lots of times, and Blaine is always doing something new.  He wouldn't just re-hash this old trick without some new drama.

Blaha could have done this with a 50 cal round at 200 feet distance. Blaine probably put the tiniest amount of power in the cartridge.

How can anyone take these guys seriously?  The last magician I saw was when I was 5 and he was making balloon animals.  It was great and all my friends and I loved it.  But then I grew up.  These guys have tv shows and everything....god people are stupid.

Saw this on tv, he didn't just catch the bullet in his mouth/teeth. Had a special mould made that he wore in his mouth with some kind of metal sheild in place.
One of the attempts the shield kinda broke and lacerated the inside of his mouth.

There was some "rapper" who shot himself in the mouth as well.. Looked like a .22.... Went throigh his cheek and supposedly swallowed the bullet. Must've been a subsonic bullet cuz it didn't go through the other side.. Plus you'd think he'd break some teeth. Dude was actually bleeding and showed after-pics of his face swelled up and stitched up... Did it while in his car taking a "selfie" video to show how "hard" he was.

Saw it on Joe Rogans podcast.
