In May 1971, Walker narrowly escaped death in a skiing accident at Mammoth Mountain, California. In a fall from a ski lift, Walker was pierced through the heart with a ski pole. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. However, a doctor detected faint signs of life and rushed Walker to surgery, where his damaged heart was repaired. Within two months, Walker was again working

he's still around, 89 years old.

I got the pleasure of hanging out with Vince Gironda twice.  Wayback in the early 80s I stopped at his gym twice and although he seems very brash he must've taken a liking to me because we talked for quite some timE on both occasions. I probably would have never remembered this unless this jog my memory that he was talking about people that he trained or trained at his gym and he said Clint probably could've went on and beat everybody builder he's ever had walked through the doors if he chose to do so.

Just spoke to Clint Walker and he gave me the full inside scoop... He's still hitting the gym 6 days a week moving big weights. Says his physique shits all other that fake rug wearing phag Mike O'Hearn's.

He's 89 years old now so I fear for his health.
