from 2 and a quarter for 10 to 205 for six  >:( >:( >:(

i've been doing it every 48 hrs though so i guess i gotta cut it back to every 3 or 4 days, 1 week is to long for me and i lose the groove/feel of the exercise

and on a side note my half squat is up to 2 and a quarter for 10 and i plan to take it up to 3 or even 4 bills for 10

I've always had this problem. When you're taking squats seriously, your upper body won't respond as well.

good point and I think you're right

could be best to focus on squats til they level out then put the focus back on close grips til they level out again then go back to a squat focus

good stuff bro

btw, my power cleans have only gone up bout 5 pounds, this sucks ass

Yes, but how many strokes does it take you to crack one off?

Sounds great in theory, but empirally never saw it. If I don't work the upper body, it ain't happening.

As a student of Mentzer and Jones you should know this. If nutrition and training intensity is consistent and you are getting enough sleep then that would indicate your tris are not recovering sufficiently from your workouts and over training. Before your tris have recovered you are hitting it again. You keep breaking it down and never giving it a chance to build up.

yep, there's something to that, but if I only train an exercise once a week I lose the groove of the exercise, basically my skill at performing the lift is lessened

I can go 3 or 4 days and keep my groove, but after 7 days or so my skill at the lift lessens

Losing the "skill" of doing a simple movement in seven day does not comport with common sense. Riding a bicycle or driving a stick shift is far more complex but once you learn those skills it stays with you.

Besides, adapting to a movement often triggers the adaptation response. Doing the same exercise week after week, month after month, often is the reason for stagnation.
If you lose fine motor skills in such a short time then it would seem to your body it is encountering a new stress variation and your triceps might respond better to this new adaption response.

not easy, all out effort was required, til failure basically

AJ might have been proud

if I get up to 3 plates while weighing less than a buck 70 then that will be ELITE STATUS  8)

Take my "advice" with a huge grain of salt...
strip off one wheel and use 1 plate a side for very high reps(30+) 4 days a week.

I'm curious what purpose it serves? Size or strength or something else? I don't want any more size but I do want more strength

Size.
Didn't know that you're only into gaining strength - then, of course, blowing yourself up is not on your agenda..
You should still run a maintenance routine for the joints - maybe tricep extensions with a pair of 10's or so for high reps 5 days a week...

thanks for the feedback bro

think this advice bout alternating between focus on squat til I stagnate then shift focus to bench is the best for me, so now I'll focus on the squats maybe til I hit 140,kg for 6, now I'm at 115 kg for 5

I'm natty now, been so for bout 10 weeks now

yeah I best go to twice a week

best mimics a straight punch
You are weird. You could do close hand push ups and get better stamina. Or better yet, just train for boxing, instead of mimicing a straight arm punch. Also, every 48 hours? Who does that?

I train boxing 5 days a week bro

the weight training is to increase joint and muscle strength not for size gaining

I train just about every fucking day twice a day, and sometimes even 3 tomes a day

I also do cross shit with kettle bell and medicine ball work

Maybe I do too much at once. My bench and upper bodyresponds better if I lay off the squats and deads.

Who would prescribe more squats and lower body work if your upper body is getting worse?
