anyone who competes at that level has to have a dim view of themselves. This is the only way they can ask for "advices" and humble themselves, realizing that there is a lot to learn and that there is always somebody better
The minute you start thinking you are the best, you are unable to learn anything new or progress. Why should you? You're already the best... (in your eyes)
U have to be critical of yourself in any endeavor. "Know-it-alls" generally don't know much and are not open to suggestions or criticism.
I've know lots of great people with tons of knowledge, but the inability to turn that knowledge into wisdom.
Too bad he took so long to realize this. Machavellian affirmations are a farse. Positivity is good, until you start lying to yourself. At that point you become delusional.
