I don't know how many of those individuals pictured above actually "doubled" for the movie actors they looked similar to but one good friend of mine went to Hollywood after his tour in the Corps and got into the stunt and acting business.
Jack was about 6'2" and became very close friends to the biggest TV and motion picture strs and often 'doubled' when it was possible for the star to get hurt and close down the production until he recovered.
His funniest job was doubling for Don Adams (Get Smart TV series star) because there was no similarity what so ever.
So those scenes were always shot form a distance.
Some big 'stars' have their own personal doubles .. and they make big bucks every time they are required in a scene.
And sometimes they make big bucks just sitting around the set waiting to get a call to stand in front of the camera.
