Either of them was/is a better option than Trump. So, not so fickle after all. But if it makes you feel any better had been possible for both President Biden and VP to run in the primary, I would have supported Harris over him. President Biden and Trump are too old for the job.

But you couldn't support Harris in the primary because she never ran in the primary.  You folks are like women who suffer from Battered Woman's Syndrome.  You stick with your party no matter how badly they treat you.

Paid any income taxes? I pay income tax every year, both before Trump and after him. As I have repeatedly stated, any increase in gas, utilities, food and other goods has little effect on me since I am not a high consumer. Trump's 2017 'Tax Cuts and Jobs Act' is still in effect so that my taxes went up slightly is not relevant and before his tax cuts there were other considerations which greatly effected my tax burden mainly because my wife passed in 2015. Comparing the 2017 tax year with 2018, my income taxes increased, but there were some changes in deductions.

From January 2917 to December 2021, I spent on average per month $364 on utilities; $26 on gas, and $391 on utilities. From January 2021 to November 2024, I spent on average per month $442 on utilities, $43 on gas, and $418 on groceries. I have not cut back on making purchases. In fact it is possible I am consuming more now because the pandemic ended.

So your costs of utilities, gas, and groceries increased, along with the cost of pretty much every good or service, but your life was not better.  Ok.

But then are the millions of people who really understand their lives were better under Trump, including these folks:

Report: Inflation Reduction Act sent seniors' health care costs surging
The Center Square ^ | 30 Oct 2024 | Shirleen Guerra
Posted on 11/1/2024, 5:34:27 AM by blueplum

(The Center Square) – Medicare premiums and senior citizens' prescription drug costs have surged since passage of the $891 billion Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, according to data compiled by an advocate for seniors on the federal health care program.

The legislation promised financial relief for millions of people with Medicare by expanding benefits, lowering drug costs, and strengthening Medicare for future seniors. Medicare Is for Seniors' "Misery Index," as the report is known, says prescription drug costs instead have risen nationally by 31%, leaving seniors with new expenses and fewer options. Those costs will rise again under the new Plan B premiums....

As previously reported by The Center Square, the new average plan bid for a standard Part D coverage will increase by 179% for 2025, partly due to an underestimation of federal attributions to the Part D changes. ...

... the Inflation Reduction Act makes Medicare Drug Plans offer costly new benefits and siphons funds from Medicare into the federal treasury for its funding, most notably its electric car and green energy subsidies.

In an op-ed for the Atlanta Journal Consitution, Merritt wrote that "rates for Medicare Prescription Drug Plans have risen four times more than the national rate of inflation since the IRA was enacted. In some battlegrounds, it's risen eight or nine times higher."...

He will act on all of his campaign promises.

Deportation of illegal criminals, striving for energy independence, ending wars, lowering taxes, and securing the border frightens you?

Please be specific to what exactly you are worried about.

More than likely he didn't support Kuntmala in 2020 because she was the bottom polling candidate. ;D

A couple of friends of mine attended this school, but that was in the 70s-80s.

Elite School Will Provide Counselors for Students Distressed by Election
Attendance on Wednesday, or whatever day the results are announced, is optional for high school students at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York City, families were told.

One of New York City’s elite private schools told families on Thursday that “students who feel too emotionally distressed” the day after Election Day will be excused from classes, and that psychologists will be available during the week to provide counseling.

In a section of an email to members of the school’s community headed “Election Day support,” Stacey Bobo, principal of the upper school at the institution, the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, said that it “acknowledges that this may be a high-stakes and emotional time for our community.”

“No matter the election outcome,” she wrote, the school “will create space to provide students with the support they may need.”

No homework will be assigned on Election Day, the email said, and no student assessments will take place on Wednesday. Excused absences will be allowed on Wednesday or whatever day the election results are announced for students who feel unable to “fully engage in classes.”

But then are the millions of people who really understand their lives were better under Trump, including these folks:

I answered the questions you asked me.

I provided you with the actual figures because they demonstrate the negligible impact on the quality a temporary brief period of high inflation has had. And this is what you asked me about. Other folk's lives may have been more impacted than mine by inflation.
BTW some utilities and expenses such as property tax are increased annually regardless of inflation.

You also mentioned income tax reductions under Trump. These are still in effect and cannot be part of a calculation going forward. It is not possible to assess how much better it made my life because of other circumstances which affected my income tax burden prior to 2018.

One thing I did not mention is that part of my income increases annually at not more than 3% or less than COLA and my other income sources rely on investment returns which can be higher than COLA or lower.

Previously, you did not mention those millions of other people who may have had a dissimilar experience than me and now you are using them as an example. What is that about?

That you think I would let a couple of hundred dollars a month increase in expenses, amounting to a very tiny percentage of my income have any effect on my quality of life is pretty amazing. I am not that easily upset.

Hmm, I do not remember this. Maybe like Trump and Biden, my memory is shot since I am around their age (80).

Which colleges would these be? Harvard, Yale, Trump University/Trump Entrepreneur Initiative which failed in 2010. Could it be the one he sold his name to, The Trump Institute (real estate school) which was gone by 2009? Were any of these Trump’s ventures in brick and mortar monkey businesses which might have been rebranded Trump nursery schools, which could mean there was ample finger paint and Play Doh to keep students occupied.

Colleges Try to Comfort Students Upset by Trump Victory
Despair over Clinton's loss prompts ‘cry-in’ at Cornell; Play-Doh for the distraught

Dozens of students at Cornell University gathered on a major campus thoroughfare for a “cry-in” to mourn the results of the 2016 presidential election Wednesday, with school staff providing tissues and hot chocolate.

An event planned for the day after the election at Tufts University as a way for students to express themselves about the election turned into what one student called a "self-care" event.

And the University of Kansas reminded students via social media of the therapy dogs available for comfort every other Wednesday.

Colleges nationwide scrambled to help students process Republican Donald Trump’s stunning election victory. They’re acknowledging that many students were up late watching results and so may not be at their sharpest in early-morning lectures. More so, they’re responding to a widespread sense of shock and despair on campuses to the victory of a candidate who offended Mexicans, Gold Star mothers, Muslims and the disabled during the course of the campaign.

Oh sorry, I forgot that nothing makes you feel better, because you relish being negative, hostile, and angry all the time which is obvious from your post. Feeling good about something is not in your playbook. What a hard life you live.
