Why are both political sides so rude and angry?
« on: January 24, 2017, 02:01:38 PM »
The republicans led by Trump took the white house and won a clear majority in congress.
You'd expect conservatives to walking on sunshine and happy as clams, right?
For some reason, many Trump supporters are more rude, obnoxious and insulting now. WTF?

Why are Trump supporters so rude and angry when they won big?

On the left the liberal dems are feeling butt hurt and got blown out on election day.
So, how did they react?

They got a bunch of angry, bitter women to wear pink pussy hats and yell about how Trump sucks.
Madonna   said publically she's thought about blowing up the Whitehouse, a lot.
But won't actually do it because it wouldn't really help much. Ok?

A lot if interaction on this forum is composed of personal, angry attacks.

Why are BOTH sides so damn rude and angry?
LOL, I'm not mad at anyone hope team Trump and the GOP do a bang up job.

Thanks for any insight on this anger deal.

Get Big never fails to deliver  ;)

But seriously, here's what confuses me.
I openly voted for Hillary and all republicans down ballot.

I've been positive, upbeat and when I offer my congratulations to Trump voters, I get back...
" Fuk U,  you suck, go away dickwad, etc."

I can understand that anger and attitude if :
1. Trump lost      or       2. I was rude and insulted Trump and his supporters. ( I don't)

Maybe if you would have hung out here the months leading up to the election we could have swayed your mind.

Truth-bombs were dropping left and right about HRC's corrupt ass making a NICE living by being a politician to the highest bidder, supplying military weapons to various ME countries, and downright strange e-mails.
All with verified e-mails to back them up; not anonymous sources.

There are reasons we are angry

I'm mostly frustrated that half of our country is still complete fools. That's a sobering thought when you walk around and realize how many are just completely ignorant and controlled by whatever the media tells them to believe yet believe that they are such "independent" thinkers.

Its mostly funny/good times right now if Trump does what he said he would except for the danger of it all coming back in the future due to stupidity.

Seriously, it's just a symptom of where society as a whole is going.  Tradition culture is getting pissed on and destroyed and the bitter, hostile, victim class is taking over.

There is a serious culture war taking place and people are pissed.

I knew about a lot of Hillary's crap, and trust me I wasn't too upset when she lost.

BUT, for me , the main deal for not voting Trump was his temperament . 100% serious.
For example, he just made a huge deal about the media coverage of his inauguration crowd size.
He's the new POTUS and most powerful man in the world.
It's like he's butt hurt thinking, no way Black Barry had more kids at his party  :D

The POTUS has every word and deed scrutinized daily to the nth degree.
It requires a mature, cool, level head and nerves of steel to deal with that kind of pressure.
If he tweets some snarky insult , it could start WWIII with nukes flying. NOT good.

Every President has a healthy ego, and our new Pres. Trump will need to adapt to the job.
I'm cautiously optimistic he'll have a fast learning curve and become "presidential".

That's true.

Considering a large % of the US population don't know who their Gov, senators and congressman are, I think it's hopeless.

I'm no wealth of knowledge, but in all modesty I think I have a bit more depth and analytical ability then the avg bear.

Thanks for the reply.

I can understand the rude, angry reply if I was insulting to their side. I'm not.

I congratulate the Trump voters and often say how I wish him success.
(again) the reply back is fuk you,  you suck, etc.

If I said Trump sucks , I'd get more of the same.

Something I have written before but pretty much sums things up:

"You see you are a prime example of why I don't like leftist, anyone who doesn't think the way you do is stupid. Your all for free speech, as long as it's your kind of speech. You need to put everybody who disagree's with you in little categories like racist, bigot, misogynist and the list goes on and on. And worst of all you celebrate stupidity, the atrocity that has been committed against the youth of this nation with you politically correct horse shit. Now they need safe spaces to protect them from triggers and micro aggression,  some play doh and coloring books to sooth their fragile emotions." - Me

As far as the other side, I guess their afraid throwing fits like a petulant child isn't going to work anymore

I'm a die hard independent who catches hell from both sides LOL.
Plus, I'm not angry and feel pretty good about life and our country.

Those on the right, think I'm a liberal who covertly marched last weekend with a pink hat and anonymous mask.
Those on the left, think I secretly voted for Trump and won't admit it to them.

Because liberal Democrats and conservative Republicans are miles apart on various issues.

#1 biggest concern for moderates. Abortion.   Who is someone to tell someone else if they can have one or not. Biggest fight for the Supreme Court new nominee on who it will be. Biggest concern.  Most moderates do not want Roe vs. Wade changed.  I think they should meet in the middle. Abortions are allowed for the first 4 months, or in cases of huge risk to the mother. Simple as that.  A modified Roe vs. Wade.  It is unfair to force anyone who does not want a child to have one, but you need to make that decision in the first 4 months.

#2 Immigration and illegals and how to deal with them.

#3 Health Care, Feeding All, Homelessness and how to pay for them - more taxes vs. less taxes.

#4 Business views... and so many other views

Now, when someone does not get their way, the become abusive, angry, pissed off, and more so now that the country is 50-50 divided.  In the cities, more liberal Democrats. In suburbs and rural, more conservative Republications.

The key is respect and debate and working together, of which no one wants to anymore.
