.. People forget, were too young, or were just not around yet to realize that in 1971', Casey Viator was the only bodybuilder in the world who could stand next to Arnold and Sergio .. I put him on the top of my list as the most under rated bodybuilder of all time
Not even close to being under-rated. He got his dues. He just wasn't that aesthetic, and faded away. And he was all AAU than during the time frame that you mentioned. So, gotta disagree with you there. At the big shows, he placed 5th at the 1980 IFBB NOC, won the 1980 IFBB Pittsburgh Pro, won the 1980 Gran Prix Louisiana Pro, Grand Prix Pennsylvania. And placed 13th at the 1980 Mr. O, 3rd at the 1982 Mr. O (5 places ahead of Jusup)
Now the truly under-rated was Jusup Wilkosz. He was 6th at the 1981 Mr. O, 10th at the 1982
Mr. O, 6th again at the 1983, and 3rd at the 1984 Mr. O, which was the beginning of the Haney reign.
Yet, no one really mentions the German with odd name who trained with Arnold Swarzenegger.
