As for reducing the US Military, I think it could be greatly re-evaluated. There is PLENTY of fat to be trimmed.

USA has sanctions against Russia only because you lost in some cases and got pissed off plus Putin is Russia first.
Putin's sin is winning and putting Russia first.

Compare Georgia where Russia stabilized the situation in a mere two weeks and no fighting has took place ever since the 2008 to Afghanistan under US rule which is a total mess for decades now.

The point is that not even their political parties can remove them and they have no allegiance but to the law because unless it's complete malfeasance and criminal, they can not be removed.
