Can you get this lean ?

His look is not one of health.  That much muscle mass is not a "health" look.  It takes a lot of steroids to to just have that much muscle while being lean, then it's a matter of eating small amounts of food while still taking a lot of drugs to not look like a holocaust jew.

X3 ... Look awesome and more athletic than Phil Heath. But I bet his organs are running under a lot of stress specially at that age.

He looks amazing. He won't show you pictures of himself 6 months off if he ever goes off for that long. That steroid amazing look is a temporary one.  It even yo yo's up and down in a 4 month period.  I've been around the game long enough to see zero's got to hero's in nothing flat but the reverse is true too.

I have seen with my own two eyes Christian men ( who would not lie ) get this lean drug free. You must know what the body needs by listening to it. Proper nutrition at the right time. Eating properly balanced meals every two hours. That means getting up even in the middle of the night to eat. Problem is you need to know what exactly your body needs at what meals. It takes patience and knowledge. Many bodybuilders don't have what it takes so they rely on drugs.

He's in incredible shape but all those cover shots are touched up. Also, doing a photo shoot for a mag like Iron Man is akin to preparing for a show. More so, since your exposure will be far more on a mag cover than being on stage. But, like all bodybuilders you can't walk around year round stage ready if you want to live.



Even stage ready he doesn't match his "cover boy" condition.

The ultra lean condition is making him appear older facially.  If he fattens up a bit, I'm sure he looks normal or even better than his age.

Yes, you can get shredded at 40. I got shredded for my first show in my late 30's, drug free. Obviously to get in the sort of shape that guy's in, you need to do drugs.

He's been competiting since at least the early to mid 90's I remember him in Australian Ironman when I used to buy them back in 97-98. He was always ripped, as someone said it's in the genes but obviously gets better over time too. He's got both.

An old guy about 60 used to swim in the pond where we used to fish in summer, guy looked like Helmut Strebl condition wise, but weighed about 110lbs

guy has good build esp for age,everything said here in the last page say's it all,the cover shot is touched up,his waist looks smaller in the cover,the stage shots he looks BIGGER than cover actually,,his shape and look on cover trumps what he looks like actually in real stage shape,

In India, those old holy men say that eating little is what extends life. Some barely eat anything, but live very long and healthily.

The same advice was also given to Alexander the Great when he was in northern India, even then they noted how old they could live to and on so little food.
