Tillerson Lays off 7th Floor State Dept. Staff
« on: February 17, 2017, 05:55:39 AM »
aka "the shadow government" mentioned in Wikileaks

State Dept. carries out layoffs under Rex Tillerson

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/state-dept-layoffs-under-rex-tillerson-being-carried-out/

While Rex Tillerson is on his first overseas trip as Secretary of State, his aides laid off staff at the State Department on Thursday.

Much of seventh-floor staff, who work for the Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources and the Counselor offices, were told today that their services were no longer needed.

These staffers in particular are often the conduit between the secretary’s office to the country bureaus, where the regional expertise is centered. Inside the State Department, some officials fear that this is a politically-minded purge that cuts out much-needed expertise from the policy-making, rather than simply reorganizing the bureaucracy.

There are clear signals being sent that many key foreign policy portfolios will be controlled directly by the White House, rather than through the professional diplomats.

Awesome!

The entrenched Academic Socialist Deep State beaurucrats are being cut out. These are the 7th floor "Untouchables" at State!

"There was a powerful group of very high-ranking STATE officials that some referred to as 'The 7th Floor Group' or 'The Shadow Government.' This group met every Wednesday afternoon to discuss the FOIA process, Congressional records, and everything CLINTON-related to FOIA/Congressional inquiries," the FBI's interview summary said. Maybe, just maybe, they want to avoid any staffers blowing the whistle on questionable activities.

I know some of you believe more in secret shadow governments .
BUT, I tend to look more at mundane , basic stuff like greed , $$ and egos.

Here's my theory:

There is a bunch of untapped oil in the frozen permafrost tundra of the artic region.
US environmental restrictions have curtailed a lot of this in northern Alaska.

Putin and Russia recently formatted a plan to drill oil in their vast artic region.
That was full speed ahead UNTIL the recent US sanctions from Obama over the hacking scandal .
Former Exxon CEO, Rex Tillerson had dealt with Russia previously in various  oil projects.
Having him become the US sec of state would only expand those business dealings.

Then former Nat. sec. advisor Kelly was caught calling the Russian amb. and talking about those sanctions.
He tried to lie about this to the VP and was forced to  quit ,when it went public.

Now the media is all excited about Russia and the Trump admin. dealings before and after the election.
Pres. Trump is attempting to deal with this issue on two fronts:

1. The ol' bait a swtich. Pay no attention the factual info, and only focus on the leaking of info.

2. Do your best to clean house and put the fear of GOD in any staffer.

The Trump base will believe any conspiracy theory and media bashing he shouts out.
While you're looking for a secret shadow gov, his rich friends are getting richer.
Simple cause and effect based on  human nature and old as time.

You're pathetic

Sounds good, until you need to get mundane , tedious , key tasks done.

I trust you remember the economic housing mortgage based crash of 2007.
Plenty of state and local governments were force to cut back on services and staff.

Some got rid of a full time Fire Dept.
Yup, that saved money and seemed to streamline the local gov.
A few days  go by and some wonder why we ever paid a full time fire dept.

THEN, a house caught on fire. :D
They called 911 and nobody was on call nearby to respond and put it out.

Yes, you might not need a fire dept on a regular basis.
BUT, it sucks if you need one and don't have it.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the case at hand Howard.

Howard, you do know we have e-mails and FBI documents confirming what this 7th floor group does, right?

I even posted a link to it in my reply above, but howard I am sure never clicked on it to read.... after all he voted for criminal hillary.

One revelation in the documents came from an interview with an unidentified person who suggested that Freedom of Information Act requests related to Clinton went through a group sometimes called "the Shadow Government."

Guys, I know you mean well and are sincere in many of your posted beliefs.

I don't have all the answers and sure don't know any secret, insider info.
I make judgments based on what I find to be credible info and sources.
Despite what many here  believe, I don't find many of the posted references credible.

Thanks to a strong 1st amd, we BOTH have a right to post and think as we please.

In my personal judgment, this is an old bait and switch by Pres Trump.

Taking the corrupt DoS out to woodshed. Much needed. Next is the CIA and the DoD among others.

You really believe that they won't be replaced with different corrupt people?

You can't just get rid of everyone in these organizations. A lot of people are just people who were hired to do a job. You can't just get rid of them.

There is always an underlying agenda, Tu Holmes, Clinton was supposed to win the election, consolidate power and continue on with business as usual. That didn't happen, so it's time to clean house and get these institutions back on track. The DoS is too bloated and mismanaged. Anyways, no one is talking about firing everyone, but the malignant tumors are being excised.

This is a good thing.

I'm not saying it's not a good thing. It most likely is.

What I'm saying is that I've been in government in various areas and most weren't for me.

Getting rid of some people is certainly possible, but some people you just can't get rid of. They are not elected or assigned by The President, so they just keep on working there.

In my judgment Trump lacked the temperament to be an effective POTUS.
I was also concerned with potential "conflicts of interest" and involvement with Russia/Putin.
If I'm right on any of this, we'll know soon enough.

If YOU and the Trump supporters are /were correct, it will prove me wrong.
It doesn't cost the nation anything, to have my judgment proven wrong  ;)

Time will  reveal who made the right judgment.
Hillary would never have been a "right judgment". It would only serve to show that both candidates were not good. Nothing else. Both would be corrupt which would personally mean I would have not wanted either if we had information on Trump like there was on Hillary.

Fair, objective point that I basically agree with.
Now that hell has frozen over, let me add a couple things.

I would have gladly voted for most of the republican candidates, besides Trump.
For whatever reason, Trump got their backing and won.
Compared to Cruz, Rubio , etc, Trump is a loud mouthed buffoon.

I liked Cruz right up until he kissed Trumps ass.
