Yeah, they knew what they were doing. You got that right.
I don't agree with virtually everything they did but they at least were able to have a somewhat functioning government
For example, they knew the process for writing an Executive Order and having the various agencies effected be involved in the process. They understood the process.
Bush definitely put unqualified lackeys and cronies in positions that turned out to be disastrous but that seems to be par for the course for Republicans
Trump on the other hand has no one in his inner circle who has any experience in the jobs they are doing
Trump has only nominated about 5% of the critical jobs in his government that require Senate confirmation yet he's off tomorrow to Florida for a campaign rally and will then spend the weekend at his vacation home... for the 3rd week in a row.
This guy should be working 7 days a week to put his Administration together.
His replacement choice for National Security Adviser turned him down yesterday and was reported to have said he wasn't no part of that chaos.
None of this bodes well for our country
