The best thing about mma is that it dispelled the myths of what was  effective in an actual fight, which is boxing, grappling and the odd kick...

Kung fu does look amazing in those old Chinese films tho

Because of the placebo effect, his students believe that its real and they are not resisting so it could work on them and this makes the master believes in his own bullshit so he goes out in the real world and gets the shock of his life that all the hours he spent practicing that crap was a total waste of time.
