In response to the video hitting social media, hundreds protested Wednesday night in Anaheim, leading to 24 arrests on misdemeanor charges, including failure to disperse, resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer, KTLA-TV reported in a separate story.

Protesters also tried getting into the home of the officer on the video, breaking its windows as well as car windows, the station said, adding that protesters also broke an Anaheim police car’s windows, spray-painted a garage door and broke a window at a neighboring house.

The cop was smart to pull his weapon out once the ubran yoots started to hop around and take swings at him.  I'm just not so sure he should have been detaining that kid in the first place.

The cop should have exercised some patience.  The kids in his neighborhood will all end up in prison eventually.

when you dont intervene the behaviour escalates

first its stepping on the lawn then its verbal abuse then its vandalism

its proven that early intervention is the best way to prevent this

look at new york thats how they turned the city round

these self entitled kids need to learn that there is consequences to their actions

before its too late

I'm not completely disagreeing with what you are saying, I'm just not 100% sure the cop is in the right here.  Maybe the kid threatened to shoot him, maybe he didn't.

I think I might have chosen to record the little shits on video, trespassing and shit talking.  Gather some evidence that helps to prove what's really going on.  As it stands now it's kinda his word vs theirs.

It's tough.  Having to deal with "certain communities" of people is a no win situation.  They do the most and then cry the loudest when you react to their fuckery.

I still say that gunshot was an ND and not a warning shot.  I'm interested to hear what other info comes out.
