Whats is the peak age in bodybuilding nowadays?
« on: February 25, 2017, 11:40:58 PM »
40 year ago they all retired like 30...

Now, its seem they can't reach top ten before 30...The best out there seem to be around 35-45...

Did Arnold really reached his peak. What if u continued doing what he doing without taking time of (juice and training) from 76-86 stepping onstage 40 years old...

I'd argue that early to mid 30's are the best years. It's the lack of quality contenders that's allowing the older guys to stay around longer.

When you get that extra skin crease at the lower pec line you know your body is no longer at its peak.  I agree with BB. Not to say you can't grow or place higher beyond that but the peak bodily potential stops somewhere there. You can fight it with more drugs but you would have had a better response to that increased drug intake at an earlier age.

Seriously, the lower pec line is a very good indicator of getting "old" and this sign happens sometime after 35.

I`ve got no sagging pec line and my skin is still pretty good.

No genetics for bodybuilding but good skin......go figure!  :(

I wish I had skin tone like he does. Although I have never been fat, ever since I had a robotic, radical prostatectomy, the skin on my stomach has been messed up. It definitely has a horizontal fold that wasn't there before. Like the rest of my abdominal region, this skin fold is pretty thin.

Poor elasticity due to age. Then comes the lower ab sag.

Perhaps we shouldn't discount that some guys simply can't afford to go all out with the drugs until they are older after they have earned some disposable income. Like Branch, he was a top teen, then disappeared for most of the '90s, presumably started his trucking company, then came back and put all of his eggs in the bbing basket and bam.

I actually think a lot has to do with this as far as holding it off for a long time. Even if the bulk is muscular bulk. A lot of the guys that stay leanish year round and don't jump up a ton of weight mainly eem to hold well over time up to fifties, etc. Kane Sumabat, that black dude, etc.
