Whilst Americans have the smartest people on earth they also have probably some of the dumbest most ignorant populations compared to all advanced world Countries (you just have to read this forum to see that  ). I don't think i can name one person in the UK who does not know who Sikhs are. All my Sikh friends are some of the best guys i know, as usual they get the brunt of Muslim backlash - its a shame.

People are bound to gain knowledge of those who live around them. I live in London and over the past few years, have become far more familiar with Polish culture due to the large influx of Poles who have recently settled in my area.
BTW, many Bengali's are Indian.

Yeah, they are good guys.
People should be educated on these matters but it's unlikely they ever fully will be. Most people don't know or care about their own religion, culture and history. It's unrealistic to think they are going to bother learning about other ones.

Yep, Sikhs are cool.  If you take the time to talk to them and get to know them, you will see that they are very smart, friendly and hard workers.
