Loved this movie when i was young, thought it was hilarious.

Watching it again now, i just realized that Harpo was copping a feel on the maids derriere whilst asleep.

Quite the rascal! Sleeptwerking in the 30s
Hilarious scene!

One of the funniest film scenes I've ever seen ......

But I once stayed in a hotel room in NYC that was twice as small as that one. It was a former YMCA that was 'converted' into a place to stay for  military personnel.

The number one complaint was that you had to open the door to put on your shoes .... and the bathrooms were a couple of floors down the stairs.

Nothing fancy but the price was right.

One of the best early 1930s films I've seen is 1931 (pre-code) Night Nurse. It is amazingly structured like a modern movie. It starts off like a buddy movie between Barbara Stanwyck and Joan Blondell and turns into kind of a David Lynch movie...plus it doesn't have the predictable 'crime doesn't pay' ending that movies had from when the Hayes code was enforced in the mid thirties until it fell apart in the late 1960s.
