He was consistently in great shape from his first Mr. Olympia until his last. Should have won it in 1994.

I do not think Shawn Ray was the type of bodybuilder to only look good when standing alone.

Due to hiis superior conditioning and shape and symmetry, he definitely held his own when standing next to others.

Shawn beat them guys when they were off , Shawn never came close when they were on the money and if I recall correctly Shawn never beat Flex

But he still beat them,  Cormier has never beat him

Imo aside from height, and "mass" he's pretty complete from head to toe

All those other guys mentioned had more weaknesses than Shawn

I've always said Cormier was a bit underrated, he was complete with mass also, maybe no stand out body parts but very balanced

shawn beat flex at the 95 and 96 olympia, chris beat shawn at the 99 O

lack of height and mass are huge glaring flaws if you ask me, extremely glaring when he stands next to those guys

Even if Shawn only competed once per year, everyone had their opportunity to beat him at the biggest show of the year, the Mr. O and few did. I don't like that Phil competes only one per year but everyone has a chance to beat him at the O and no has done it yet since he became Mr. O.

That is not true. Shawn wore a hair piece at the 1995 Arnold Classic. It looked good, but the high def camera picked up the line where the unit met his real hair.
