Tax rates from all levels of income has been hotly debated for 100 years in the USA.
It's a legitimate debate.

If they want to cut back on aid to the poor and elderly, fine, just say so.
That's a legit form of conservative   GOV.

Given the mental capacity of the people who vote for them, they don't have to admit it.

BUT, what puzzles me is hearing the views of Christian Conservatives.
I guess some of them skipped over Jesus's " Sermon on the Mount".
Healing the sick, feeding the hungry and helping the poor was kind of a big deal to Jesus.
