First footage of aftermath!

Runway looks in decent condition indeed. Russia really took countermeasures if this proves right!! Waiting for satellite images.

Russian MOD drone footage seems to confirm USA didn't manage to hit the airstrip!!!

I will post later... i'm on mobile now due to situation being a bit hectic  ;D

Russia considering to bolster air defenses in Syria.

Edit: released footage show glowing impact points and strikes landing. Many which made it to area are way off the target.

Staunt Trump ally Nigel Farage seemingly disappointed for the attack against secular forces in Syria.

Main air-strip allegedly in working condition.

I saw that. Pretty much only one hanger destroyed. Still allows Assad to use the strip to bomb ISIS/AQ/"rebels"

More of a statement to the rest of the world? Pretty much a "Don't forget we have a big dick" moment.  :-X

Yes.
I admire USA media ops though. Unparallelled media control.

Yep, that's the video.

Militarily this is honestly poor performance by USA. Nothing like we are used to see in Hollywood-movies.
Looks like Russia managed to repel half of the launched missiles (allegedly 59) and many of the other half ended right next to their targets. Jammers in use?

Plus that base is clearly almost empty.

But as said, kudos to your media.
They made it sound like 3rd world war just started and even I personally fell for it. Again.

PS.
American media is not showing the aftermath. Why?

No offense your military is for sure great but we have never before seen how it performs against advanced forces, or even when an advanced force has presence in the targeted place.
Looks like there's no credit behind McCain's mouthing.

Political move > Military move

His greatest enemy right now is the Media and the "Russian Collusion" narrative. I think he may have defeated that last night.

Russia has allegedly sent choppers to be based in the airbase which came under attack.
Syrian air force is returning too.

No photos yet.

Don't know what to think about all this yet. The rebels are evil/disgusting as well so to take out Assad would just lead to another awful regime but if he did do what is alleged he has blatantly ignored the restrictions and that can't be stood for as well as that was one of Obamas weaknesses (getting walked all over).

I think it sends the right message.

Gas little children and receive a few dozen tomahawks.

Gives Trump a good amount of leverage and it was just the right thing to do.

I'm personally not cool with the full on "bring democracy" occupation angle but yeah I think that message needed to be sent.

Oh please stop the bullshit. How many children you have killed in the past decade of failed wars in Irak, Afghanistan etc.  :D
At least be honest with your motives.

Americans are saying total destruction of the base happened with all the Tomahawks delivered.
Their satellite images here:

http://www.imagesatintl.com/us-strike-syria/

I came across another video from Russian sources of the aftermath where one can spot what looks like KUB ad-system intact as well as some air traffic radar (?):

Impact area of Tomahawk looks way off any target having exploded close to the fence surrounding the base - one doesn't keep anything that close to fence of an airbase. Americans might have targeted the air defense systems seen it background but missed:

Turns out it's "Admiral Grigorovich".

She was in Syria few months ago... delivering cruise missiles... I wonder what her mission is now :D
Great to see Putin not shitting his pants after all. Eye for eye until one looses both of his.

Pentagon: Russia May Have Directly Participated in Syrian Chemical Weapons Attack

http://abc7.com/news/pentagon-looking-into-russias-role-in-syrian-chemical-weapons-attack/1845518/

BEIRUT -- The United States is looking into whether Russia participated in the Syrian chemical weapons attack that provoked President Donald Trump's airstrikes against the Assad government, a revelation that could have dramatic implications for relations between Washington and Moscow.

On Friday, senior U.S. military officials said a drone belonging to either Russia or Syria was seen hovering over the site of the chemical weapons attack after the assault earlier this week. Russia is one of Syria's most important patrons and has long resisted U.S. efforts to push President Bashar Assad from power.

The Trump administration sent conflicting messages on what the strikes signaled for the overall U.S. policy in Syria. White House officials said the assault was not a step toward deeper involvement in Syria's civil war, though Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said Washington was prepared to take further military action.

"We are prepared to do more, but we hope that will not be necessary," Haley said at an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council.
