"I dont know much about the NY commission, but its likely that they dont factor in decimals, Hence Cormier had to lose only 0.3 pounds.
Yes, they told him he was 206.2 with the decimal because they wanted to make it clear to him how much he was 'over' by. If you make weight the decimal isn't read. Well I'm basing this on the GSP incident in Canada, with correlation to Nevada.
Yea I read that Rumble came in at 203.8. Maybe if its under they read it anyways?
I'm pretty sure Cormier was given grace pounds (decimals) with accordance to the rules. Hard to believe that he cut down to exactly 205
Edit: Just checked out the entire weigh-ins list, and seems to make sense. There were fighters at 126, 156, 146, 116, and obviously Cormier at 205... these are basically the 'limit' for each of the fights, and hence featured no decimal. Meanwhile most of the other fighters weighed in with decimals.
Seems pretty clear from that, that they allow at least 0.5 in grace. Could be up to 0.9"
