Could also be a piece of metal. But good catch! The destructive force of the twister is evident once it hits the houses. And this was a F4. It really is amazing that the guy just stayed on the second floor and filmed it all. Apparently he thought the tornado would miss them.

I always thought the same thing but what if the house collapses into the basement? Still probably the best place to go.

Every time I see footage of the aftermath of a tornado I see cars upside down or on their side but they generally look intact. I would wrap my self in bubble wrap and put a seat belt on and enjoy the ride.
