Personally I could careless if he were Muslim or not. The point was it seems this was a huge factor for him getting accepted. As SF1900 said, I hope there were other considerations but since most Universities are driven by liberal brainwashing and liberal activism this seems par for the course.
I did a quick search, and whether or not you agree with his principles or values, he has done a lot at 18 years of age. Most 18 year olds are playing video games--clearly, he is not. I would like to think the stuff below is what got him accepted.
--Ziad founded a teen organization, redefy (
www.redefy.org), committed to defying stereotypes, redefining perspectives positively, embracing acceptance and tolerance, and creating an active community in September of 2013.
--He has been the recipient of the Diana Award, the National Youth Activist Award in Social Justice, and the Princeton Princeton Prize in Race Relations.
--As an aspiring entrepreneur, Ziad has also co-founded JÜV Consulting Inc. (
www.juvconsulting.com), which is a youth consulting confirm. He serves as the CVO of the company, and works to empower teens with the opportunity to communicate directly with businesses about what exactly appeals to youth.
-- Ziad sits on multiple youth boards, serves on the Executive Board of Not in Our Town (a Princeton-based racial justice non-profit), volunteers at many local organizations, and has travelled to Costa Rica, Morocco, and India on service trips.
--At school, Ziad holds the position of Secretary and Treasurer of the Class of 2017, leads as the Secretary General of the PDS Model UN Delegation, mentors younger students in Science and Math, writes for the school newspaper, is a full member of Mu Alpha Theta, and plays for the varsity squash team.
