He played football in high school.  I'm guessing he wasn't good enough to move much past that.  His structure isn't bad.  His waist wasn't wide for a tall guy at his size.

I actually liked his physique. He had that powerful, Herculean look to him which I always find more impressive.
I agree that he would have been better suited for PL or strongman though. Was certainly one of the strongest pro's of all time.
