Trump doesn't have to care, but let's be clear, he didn't hate Comey last year when he said things about Hillary, and he didn't hate him last month, but now he thinks he's a huge fuckup?
Last year Trump said about Comey, "He has a lot of guts."
"And I have to give the FBI credit. That was so bad what happened originally,” “And it took guts for Director Comey to make the move that he made in light of the kind of opposition he had where they’re trying to protect her from criminal prosecution. You know that. It took a lot of guts.”

It looks bad for Trump too. Does it look bad for Dems in that Hillary is going to get indicted now? Sure, but it doesn't look good for Trump either.
I find it interesting how people are so tied to their own side on this.
Hate doesn't have anything to do with it. Comey is a mess, he refuses to cooperate with ongoing investigations, continues to release statements to the press, and has proven to be incapable of leading the FBI.
I'd say the say thing if it was a Dem who fired Comey.
I don't give a shit about whether it "looks bad" or not, it is far more important that the person leading the FBI be capable of doing the job.
