Greetings to all!
I've been reading the forums on Getbig for a while now and one thing I'd like to comment on is the attitude of some of the people who write in. Certain people seem to really enjoy putting down the weaker people or the newer members of the gym who aren't as strong or as experienced and perhaps may lack the knowledge that other people have. Why do you think this is cool? I train at a gym that has some beginners, some old people and some guys who quite honestly could be mistaken for pros. I see those larger guys train with Ronnie Coleman intensity and after their sets show a grandmother how to train her triceps. Weren't you guys beginners at one point, or did you have 20" arms right out of the womb? The apparent sense of brotherhood and community seems to be lacking at these gyms you talk about and it's a real shame. I can work in with anyone at my gym, I can lift what I can lift and if I need a spot, I can ask for it, even 5 years ago when I only pressing 90lbs. When I got 10 reps with that 90, I got a "Right on!!". three months ago, when I finally hit 405, I got that same "Right on!!" It's a real shame you guys are missing out...
