I like when people say that judging like that is the reason why bodybuilding is not a mainstream enterprise.

Nah, lol.or , h
Bodybuilding is a pageant of massive men in thongs, hence why it isn't mainstream. Hope this helps.

Anywho, in 2006, after losing to Jay, Ronnie decided to stay on gear for the full 12 month period between the Olympia that year and the Olympia in 2007. He stayed on the gas - lots of it - for the full year, rather than take his usual several months break. Normally, Ronnie wouldn't start training - and thus juicing - until the Arnold. From there, Arnold additionally chose to come in "small", as he did in 2005 - around 275-lb. That was the year that IFBB came out with the mandate for bodybuilders to come in around 85% of their normal size, with smaller waists.
It did not work out for Ronnie. He could not downsize. He needed to come in like he did in 2006 - huge, at 285 to 300. Had that happened, he could have legitimiately beaten Jay and Dexter, and been gifted a win over Victor. As for Wolf...I do not think he won that year. Second to Victor? Maybe. I do think Wolf was better than Jay and Ronnie that year - and WAY bigger than Dexter.
As for Ronnie, again, had he came in simply looking exactly as he did in 2006, he could have been gifted a more credible win than Jay was. At least looking like that, one could say Ronnie was 3rd. As opposed to Jay - who was 5th, yet gifted 1st.
So being on gear year-round and over-dieting did nothing for Ronnie.
