around 150-300 years ago the men wore the white face powder, painted on beauty spots, wore silk stockings and high heeled pointy toes shoes combined with lovely long powdered wigs.

Maybe these kids are just in the wrong gender time period.  :D

Men 300 years ago wore what was the norm for men of the upper class and you did not see them wear womens clothing in public for sure.

Standards for clothing change in society but the line between womens only clothes and "manly" clothes was always there.

The changes came naturally not forced with an agenda pushed by lots of money...
