So what is wrong with having a teacher as a role model? You probably don't have kids because you're too "into yourself"or a know it all twenty-something but in case you do.... Teachers are the ones that not only have to entertain, feed, discipline and love YOUR child (you know the one you love more than anything) for 7ish hours a day BUT also teach them the common core that you disdain having to review for homework. Oh and they also not only have your child but 25  or so more.

It should be common sense, but it is still a damn good point. Especially in grade school. I really feel bad for high school teachers. Shit pay, and a Dangerous Minds (movie) type atmosphere. All for what? Most high school kids either want to learn or they don't. Sure, some gifted teachers may be able to turn around a handful of kids in a career, but that does not account for the 1,000's that won't respond, no matter how good the teacher is.

It is absolutely a thankless job in most cases.

And I feel " old school " masculinity, as well as mentality, is a thing of the past these days. Not sure if you're familiar with Sam Elliott ? But watched a TON of his movies growing up ( still watch them ), as well as a ton of other westerns ( generally Louis L'Amour westerns ), and on top of my old school father ( R.I.P pop ), I had it in my mind from a very young age how a man should walk, talk, etc.

So, long story short, that's what make ME a man.
