My laptop died

Keyboard stopped working the other night, so I plugged in a USB keyboard and kinda jerry-rigged it. Then yesterday it froze with a "loading" prompt and has never come back on since. Pretty sure its fried.

Now I have the unenviable position of taking my harddrive up to the computer repair store and asking him to remove ~770mb of "Jodels" pics/vids...

On a similar note. I put my favorite iPod classic 160 gig on the magnetic mount that I put my phone on and it fried it last night. I think the magnet killed the hard drive. I've had this iPod for quite some time and never had a problem. Plausible the magnet fried it?

I was at the store and there was a reconditioned Asus netbook for 164.00...and lopping over with bloatware.  I asked the salesman and he admitted that to get rid of the bloatware I would have to format the drive and re-install windows and appropriate drivers.  Went to the service desk and to do that is 140.00...for them to do it.

Asus sells it cheaper because of bloatware. If you don't want bloatware reinstall os yourself or buy a more $$$ laptop.

I didn't say I was going to have them do it!...just that is the situation at...a large nationwide chain...I am going to do it at work.
