^ In this list of articles (CNN) from past 11 months or so, perhaps the heaviest claim is that Putin "ordered" a "campaign" to try to disrupt our process, and furthermore that he favored Trump while doing so.

But it's admitted that it's part of "longtime Russian efforts to undermine "the US-led liberal democratic order."

So it only makes sense to say it was Putin who gave orders, then, too.  Who did he favor in those cases?

Why now, is the question above all else.  What's changed, to make something admittedly routine, suddenly report-worthy.  Seeing as how cyber-info has become almost ancient history at this point: WHY the rush by media to place this story so far in front, when they'd been sleeping through "longtime Russian efforts to undermine "the US-led liberal democratic order."  That's what I want to know.
