A strange case.

Seems like he was mentally unbalanced- though no one forced him to kill himself - her text messages likely edged him in that direction.

Is she responsible for his suicide?  Clearly she is a horrible nasty bitch - Again no one forced him to read the texts - or kill himself.

He would of killed himself at some point - as he had previous attempts - what she was texting likely prompted him to see it through that time.
Ultimately he did it & was responsible for himself.

Although I don't agree with what she was texting / saying, I don't see how she can be held responsible.

If this is the case we all got to be careful what we post to one another
As we could be held Responsible.

I barely know the details of the case nor do I care to read them.
But, I suspect she knew he was a total dedicated cuckhold wimp .
She may have simply been fed up and sick of dealing with his whining.

BOTH were wrong :

1. She should have just walked away and avoided any texts or messages suggesting he kill himself.
2. He should have IGNORED her mean texts and deleted any contact from her.

Moral to the story:
1. Avoid making a series of targeted "owning" or suicide suggestions to ANYONE on line.
You just never know regardless of how small a chance it is the person is unstable.

2. If any text , forum or social media starts getting to you, hit delete and take a break for a few days. ;)

She'll get off with a slap on the wrist

There was a "person" in the bay area a few years who was convicted of causing the deaths of 8 people and that "person" didn't go to jail.    They got off with fines, community service and court supervision

The text exchange between the two is bizarre and she's obliviously an evil person but I can't agree with the verdict.

She's a bitch whore slut and he was a pussy whipping boy but she isn't guilty of manslaughter. Bad thing is this will change forever what people can text. She will appeal and probably win.

Yes, she is fully responsible.  Its called depraved indifference murder.  Its when you commits acts towards another person with no regards that it causes their death.  She obviously did that

Vince may be right. The law doesn't say that verbal threats are excluded.

In United States law, depraved-heart murder, also known as depraved-indifference murder, is an action where a defendant acts with a "depraved indifference" to human life and where such act results in a death. In a depraved-heart murder, defendants commit an act even though they know their act runs an unusually high risk of causing death or serious bodily harm to a person. If the risk of death or bodily harm is great enough, ignoring it demonstrates a "depraved indifference" to human life and the resulting death is considered to have been committed with malice aforethought.[1][2] In some states, depraved-heart killings constitute second-degree murder,[3] while in others, the act would be charged with varying degrees of manslaughter.[4]

Main legislature. Would her actions fall under 3?

Murder
(17-A M.R.S.A. §201)
Murder has three definitions:
1) Intentionally causing the death of another
2) Causing death of another through a depraved indifference to human life
3)Intentionally or knowingly causing another to commit suicide

I noticed that when I watched it. Handcuffs ripped apart and they grabbed hands.

I see what you're saying but she was constantly egging him on, if you read the messages it was evident he wouldn't have gone through with it only for her. She's evil and needs a few years in prison

Of course I'm right.  I worked in corrections as a detention officer and I booked enough people in intake to know the law although I never booked anyone in who did something like this.  I did book in a person one time who taunted his friend to beat up a guy in a bar....he was charged with reckless endangerment.

You have to remember that if you are a factor in the commission of a crime, you are just as guilty.  If you're a getaway driver for some bank robbers who end up killing 2 people, you'll be charged with murder.  If you hire a hitman to kill your wife, you'll be charged with murder.......and if you convince a person with clinical depression to commit suicide and you do, you are guilty of 2nd degree murder under the depraved indifference law or manslaughter depending on what state you're in.

More than likely, she'll get prob from 20 years to life imprisonment with the possibly of parole.  She will get out of prison eventually but not for a very long time.  She was convicted of murder so its going to hurt but if she's a basketcase as well, she might get some sympathy and get only 3-7 years with the rest of the sentence suspended.

I will tell you guys this> I had a woman friend who was a total psycho. One night she bombarded me with phone calls and texted insulting the fuck out of me like really bad. This went on for like 12 hours. Being a woman I could not just go to her house and put my fist in her face for the obvious reasons. About halfway through the night that shit was wearing me down bad. Women can be cruel. Was glad she was not my girlfriend. I can relate to what this guy was probably going through. To me its not about weakness, its about the fact that if it were a guy doing it you could easily go to his house and clobber him or something, with the way society is as guys we have to put up with a women's bullshit because they hold the keys to our legal freedom with just a phone call no matter how guilty they are.

When this shit was going down with me, I honestly was wishing it was the 1950's because I would have gone to her house and smacked her with a frying pan

There are alot of good women out there, but some are just plain evil fucking C U N T S
