Frazetta IS the reason the conan novels surging in the 70s. You can pretty much thank him for kickstarting anything Conan. Remember the 70s were simpler times. The Conan novels sold because of their covers. Which Frank painted. Frank would often put off to the last moment painting his paintings and one day before the deadline he'd lock himself in a room and paint.
