Solid post.

I heard an interview with a top American marathon runner named Ryan Hall. He said during his marathon career he always had low test levels. When he stopped doing marathon training, he immediately started working out with weights just so he would know what  felt like to have some muscle.

once you go over 15-20 miles per week test levels do drop

remember reading that in runners world many years ago

Elite distance runners often go over 100. What VB says makes a lot of sense. The test is essentially there to replace what you're losing from training.
