More than the poundages, i see a guy with no drive to workout. It's like he isn't motivated at all. We all have bad days like that, so why does he videotape it?

That's not struggling. Remember this is the same dude that got 46 reps with 225.

A lot of pros seem to get weaker as they get bigger...Phil is prob not as strong now as when he was younger and smaller

I think that Phil could get a ton of reps with that weight if he used his triceps more. But I think that he was purposely trying to not use is triceps. Phil was just using his pecs to move the weight (and his pecs were pre-exhausted)

moving heavier and heavier weight ie. Progressive Overload isn't the only way to build muscle size (and I believed that shit for . years  :-X >:()

fatiguing the muscle and making it work til failure is the actual key, and you can do that with higher reps or with slower more controlled reps, and neither requires one to use such heavy ass loads

To be fair, that was at the end of his workout. Also him and Cutler aren't really guys that enjoy being big and big lifting weights, at least not anymore, so you've just to to take it as it is. They're doing just enough to win.

Weights used are irrelevant....in fact, is there any method to his training at all?   Just random ordered exercises to increase volume.

It doesn't matter at all though, as bethere said.  Only thing that matters is how he looks one day out of the year.

Most people infer that there is little to no conscious involvement in this, thus nothing worthy of praise.

so if someone uses a fork lift to load a lorry he should get less praise than someone who loads it by hand?

Exactly! There are many men who can lift more? Yes! How many are on the Olympia stage? Almost none! Same goes for when people talked shit about Dillet being lazy. And look where his laziness got him: on the Olympus stage, while thousands of "hard workers" couldn't!

What really matters is the amount of Increlex, Humatrope, and slin that is used.  Weights don't mean shit.

Guys watching Arnold work arms and chest where stunned at how little weight he used. His response was he was working his muscle directly not aiding the exercise with other secondary muscles.

videos need to be entertaining and in order to be entertaining big weights need to be moved or the person moving big weights need to hurt themselves in the video.
