Believe it or not there are decent shots of him from 2004. ASC he was actually in good shape for the prejudging... looked way better than the finals.

I saw it live on TV. Kovacs was never in good shape at this contest. He looked like he was about to drop dead during the prejudging. He was sweating so much, the helpers on stage had to stand next to him with water and a towel every few minutes.

By "good shape" I mean condition, which by his standard was decent. But he was flat, depleted and bloated. He looked way worse at the Toronto pro, IMO.

There's a reason there are no weak points.

Since Kovacs didn't waste time wiping his own ass, he was able to train that much more. While Titus was wiping, Kovacs was curling. All about time management.

I used to see Kovacs on and off at Monster Gym during the summer he was training and won the Canadians. He was a freak.

I was in Bob Weatherill's(yes the same Bob DJ claims he would look like if he took the same gear) office in the gym doing a nutritional consult that same summer when Greg dropped by for a few minutes to chat with him. Guy seemed nice and was funny sarcastic, like he always had a joke he was holding off telling.

Like Fortress said in the past, I think he and Bob Kennedy got fucked by the MT crowd when building their business -

Weatherill is a great guy. One of my early local heroes.

And yes, Kovacs (and to a lesser extent, Kennedy) got screwed by MuscleTech and its owner, Paul Gardiner. Deplorable. Paul should commit suicide. Garbage human.
