there's absolutely nothing wrong with trump's current action (or should i say inaction). he's just made himself look a fool for talking big and issuing threats earlier in the year and now not being able to follow through with them as NK escalates it's "aggression".

i don't think kim jong is the idiot the msm likes to make out. yeh he's eccentric and NK is a brutal dictatorship but i think his actions are actually very measured. he knows he has china's backing and he seems to know exactly how hard to push.

and tbf when you look at the scale of the US military hardware based right on their doorstep in SK it really makes sense for NK to have a nuclear deterrent.

so after talking big about dealing with NK and sending an "armada" to sit off NKs coastline,  trump is being made to look increasingly weak by the exalted leader of NK. NK has just successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time in it's history. apparently a weapon capable of reaching alaska.

trump's rhetoric seems to have cooled somewhat from the aggressive threats he was issuing earlier in the year. now it appears he's leaving it in the hands of japan and china to sort things out. looks like NK waited for obama to go and trump the pussy to take office before they ramped up their nuclear weapon program.

Good reply. Here's why both China and the USA have a real problem with NK having a nuclear weapon.

1. It wouldn't take much to get that ego-maniac pisses off and have him lob a nuke into nearby Seoul , SK.
Maybe our missile defense systems get it, maybe not? I'd say the ABL-laser could knock it down, but I don't work on classified system for the dept of defense, so wtf?
Kim Jung could send more then 1 in different directions however and it's possible he'd hit some nearby rival nation city with a large population.

2. Now we are obligated to strike back at NK and we do.

3. NK goes into social and economic collapse and hoards of refugees floods their northern border into China.
China sure as fuk doesn't want that, but, it's the classic , between a rock and a hard place scenario.
You'd have to provde humanitarian aid directly or use force to repel them. The later would result in international outrage that could lead to WWIII with nukes. Not good.

china doesn't have a problem with NK having nukes, that is a fallacy. which going on trump's latest tweet is a fact he now seems to be waking up to.

china could stop NKs nuclear pursuits tomorrow if it so wished. something like 90% of all NK trade is done with china. the NK regime cannot survive without china's support.

with 30,000 US troops and a ton of military hardware based in SK, china's priority is to keep a strong anti US regime in NK. the last thing china wants is the US war machine rolling any closer to it's doorstep. that is why china is enabling Nk's nuclear advancements in the face of escalating militarisation in SK.

the US and china are on completely opposite sides here. the only common ground they likely share is that they'd both probably prefer to avoid WWIII.
