Who really gives a sht. 80% of the people hear could take the same amount of gear as any pro, and still not be competative on the national level. Unless you follow the HUGE program, found in FLEX, and take all of your vitamins and EFA's.

Oke,
let's replace pro with amature, or damngoodlooking guy with very low fat,

Do I think it's possible. Yes.
Genetics and constant workouts do more for ya than gear, cause in the end, you still have to lift. The gear is just the finishing touch.
Cause don't forget, pro's do 2 or three shows a year,
you can't buildup, trim down and buildup again and trim down in a matter of months.

what he's saying is that since everyone is on gear the playing field is level. the deciding factor is the dedication.

the deciding factos in getting a pro card are (not in particular order)

1) hormones (doses, quality, type, timing etc)

2) food (if you dont eat whatever you see and i mean whatever you see from fried veals to curly fries to ketchop with potatos to steaks to lean turky sousages to tator tots to icecream to clean chiken breasts to eggwhites...you will never become anything in the bodybuilding industry! sounds weird and wrong but the only time for the clean diet you all love to talk about with 8 clean meals a day is 14 weeks pre stage time. you need calories and a lot of calories a lot more than you think. no hormone will make the magic when it comes to bulking unless provided with tons of calories. INFACT hormones will do more magic during cutting when you have the mass needed. always remember for the average bodybuilding joe 14-15% inorder to go on stage he will have to lose roughly 50 pounds! yes 50 pounds not 20 and not 30.

3) respond to hormones (you wont go on a national stage unless you earn the right to be there by winning a state competition and you wont win a state competition unless your body respond to hormones fantastically.

4) training (this is where it all begins YOU MUST TRAIN RIGHT. when i mention you can eat whatever you want in the "offseason" time i consider the average bodybuilding joe to train right and with good form with the correct weight! heavy yes but not too heavy where you work your ego. if priest take 35-45lb dumbells to train his 21 inch arms you can train your arms with 30lb and grow them. the moment you start working with 70lb 80lb and your arms are 16 inch with another inch of water that makes them 17 inch.. you wont grow nothing . you need to work out right and as heavy as YOUR OWN BODY LETS YOU. you train your ego and you will never even do one competition! might be called big guy but you wont have a bodybuilder look you aim for so much.

thats it. follow those 4 tips and you will do nationals within 3 years considering you already have a good foundation and willing to compete and get critiqe.

I disagree with your number 2. Have you ever competed? because it doesn't sound like it. Off season doesn't mean you eat a bunch of shit. If you follow that you must be one fat f***. Sure in the off season you can cheat more i.e. 1 cheat meal a day (depending on your genetics and insulin sensitivity). Off season you consume more calories through .......wait for it.......MORE FOOD. Most guys take in a very large amount of carbs. Good carbs. Not curly fries and ice cream. Give me a break bro. If you believe you can eat all the crap you want and take a bunch of gear, train right and compete at a National level in 3 years I have some GH from Dave Palumbo I'd like to sell you. ::)

Thanks GH15 ! I am honestly tired of all the bodybuilding magazines and things claiming you will  look like this  if you eat your vegetables and eat super clean and take your vitamins. I also agree with the amount of weight you use I think it is important to remember its bodybuilding not body throwing. The mind muscle connection has helped me alot as well .60lb Dbs can be made to feel like 100lb if you do it correctly.

I agree, steroids are nothing more than a finishing touch, if used properly. They are really almost an afterthought.

I have talked to many pros who have advisors that help them remember to take their steroids.

Your delusion just keeps growing, "They are really almost an afterthought" is officially the most moronic statement I have ever read.

Good Lord, do you call Vince MSF POO PIS on a regular basis to ask his advice on what the most outrageously delusional thing you can post is?

Absent - I've only competed once and placed 2nd in my class but thanks again for the amazing insight you always provide. Do you have any more stories about how your gym teacher made you cry  ::)

They are an afterthought because pros are always focusing on their next meal, their next workout, the next time they get to see their family. Compared to that, steroids are an afterthought. Not to mention the fact that many pros take next to nothing. No, I haven't talked to Vince.

Different genetics and because Bonds truly DID use them as a finishing touch.

That is the first time I have heard of someone who uses all that and has never competed  :o
