Some piss me off.  Like when you're coming out of the grocery store and there's some shitbird rattling a coin can at you.  "Would you like to help a child born without proprioception."  No.  I came here to buy food.  Not get a guilt trip about all the fucked up shit in the world.  They'll have to establish a charity to pull my foot out of your ass if you don't get lost.

Swear one day I am just going to snap.

Seriously doubt it but after that last post aimed toward me I'm going to petition for his sick fat ass to be banned. Ron fucked up again by letting his ass on here only to do the same old shit.

Can't remember where I was - working in a government office, I think - and there was a woman asking for some kind of special fee exemption because she was holding a charitable event with her daughter.  Selling hot dogs in a parking lot or some shit.  She went on to explain that her daughter needed to make money because she was broke but she wanted to go to South America for a holiday.  And she was totally on the level.  No one told her to go get fucked or explained to her what a charity is vs money for a vacation.  They gave her forms to fill in.  For all I know she got what she wanted and her daughter went to South America to snort coke on tax free hot dog money.  People are unbelievable.

When I see someone who needs help, I help.  That's my charity.  If you fell over in the street I'll grab you by the hair and drag you up the curb before a bus comes.  You're welcome.  I'm not giving someone money to go do god knows what with it.  How many hands do contributions pass through before reaching their intended destination?  My dollars wouldn't get within 1000 miles of some starving african kid whose villiage doesn't have a water well.  And if you're gonna drill a well for his village then why are you asking me in my grocery store for money?  What, so you can hire the well driller?  Is he seriously just leaning on his drill rig watching children die like "Yep sure would like to help y'all but got to get paid."  Why don't you go ask him to waive his drilling fee instead of asking me to pay someone for being an asshole who won't drill a well for dying children?

I used to give to the RSPCA but it's nonsense.  They have company vehicles with paid employees in them.  My money just went to Toyota or some fat broad who does nothing all day.  Why don't you volunteer your time and vehicle like I'm volunteering money?

Do something good if you want to do something good.  Fuck charities.

Cash? Not much. I'd rather buy a burger for a homeless person or hell give him some cash no he's going to go buy a bottle but he's shaking like fuck anyways and he may have a seizure or something. But giving money to large charities for the most part is a fucking joke and I know so firsthand because I used to run fundraising office that help fundraising 4 a bunch of mostly revolving around or dealing with  law enforcement  or firefighters  related non-profit charities. all were legal 501(c)3 so I know exactly how much money actually go through the Charity's programs. Our standard rebuttal to somebody asking how much money actually goes to the charity was "well once the high cost of the fundraising campaign is paid, ALL the remaining funds go directly to the Charities and their programs. Now how come can we depend on you for this year? Did you want to do that $50 gold sponsorship or did you want to knock it down to the $25 bronze level?"

And if theyre "bright", they'll ask "oh ok, well how much is that?", our reply is "one store fundraising campaign is paid for it's usually at at least 10%". Which means five and a half years out of 10-10.5% goes to the charity, which means either buying new "Proud supporter" stickers/decals ( that they can put on their windows or the bumpers on their cars. Which a lot of times having a police supporter sticker on your car actually increases more chances of getting pulled over for whatever reason.  Don't know how many times I was told that by somebody who donated the previous year stuck instruct the decal on their cars bumper and got pulled over at least once a month. Whereas without the decal they'd go years without being pulled over. Lol) or pain the daily salary or salaries of the officers or firefighters to go do an appearance or speak at something at a school or something. Which means the other four and a half years the charity only gets maybe a half percent or 1%.. and by fundraising campaign that means the salary of the director/owner(s)of umbrella company that owns the charities, & page 4 office space Lisa office supplies and such as well as the salaries and payroll of the workersrsising the money. And that's true for the vast majority of nonprofits no matter how mainstream and popular they are. The guys who own the company that I manage the office for and Chad top of the line S Class Mercedes one head and s55 the other headed S600 the heat Chad Cadillac Escalades that except one guy had two identical black ones. One guy had a big lifted custom F-350 that was for sure under the company's name but used as his personal vehicle. That guy was a little bit more conservative with his money but the other guy also had a brand new yellow NSX from when they relaunched in 2003 or 2004 he also had a black Ferrari 360,& another Ferrari I never saw and 2 Porsches I never saw, as well as a lifted supercharged all the bells and whistles custom H2 Hummer on 24s (which I know was also under the company's name) and a brand new Range Rover, & to $100,000 a custom choppers  and a custom trailer  that he would hell  driven to Sturgis  every year . He'd have somebody else drive the truck with the trailer and bikes while he  took a plane
Lol l.. Never knew him to ever have ridden either bike. Lol) They were also partners in 2 restaurants in gaslamp/downtown San Diego ( that they used to launder money through. Forming a charity and being able to write a nice script is like a license to print money. Just myself I would generate 20 to $30,000 per week in donations now multiply that by 15 - 20 others bringing in anywhere from 1002 $30,000 per week ( much of that having to do with the fact that even though we said we only do fundraising once per year and ask the person once every year that's true but we also send you an invoice with the tax ID number on it with a return envelope about four or five times per year assuming that you're going to forget you already donated and will likely donate three more times that year before you catch on and stop mailing back in checks. A common practice for non-profits.

So, how much money?

Zero, champ😉

Idk if it's as insidious as all that across the board but there's certainly inefficiency and a sense of needing my money because someone close to the problem and able to solve it won't do his part without pay.  Go talk to that mercenary fucker and you won't have to bother me anymore.

Then there are plain stupid causes.  Like that Police Youth shit.  "Johnny needs a recreation center built so he doesn't fall in with the wrong crowd.  Our goal is $1.3 million."  Fuck Johnny and his first world problems.  There's some organization collecting for 'disadvantaged Australian children.'  Gimmie a break.  There are no starving children in Australia and they all have shoes.  Disadvantaged here probably means they have an outdated Playstation.

Worst one I ever saw was (again, at the grocery store) asking for donations for a youth sports club because they needed uniforms.  Wtf.  Put on an old tshirt and go play the game.  Go ask the little bastards parents for uniform money.  I couldn't believe the sheer arse in asking people to fund that.  The hell with the kids who don't have matching uniforms.  If they get in front of my car I'm going to run them over.

The next time one of these fuckers in the shopping center.  I'm right on the edge.

Care to elaborate and explain what that means . I'm clueless on what "camp/crew" means. 100% serious. Thanks.

since 10 years i "sponsor" a child with world vision. 600 dollars per year.
of course at the end the goddaughter sees no money but they will have school, water, better medicine etc... in their area in bolivia where world vision is active. so i dont pay for the child per se but also or for the most part for the people who work there and the organization as a whole.

that Police Youth shit.

Guess who called today.  "We work very hard to keep kids off drugs."

"That sounds like a first world problem to me.  Don't bother me again."

Some methamphetamine would do the fat little bastards some good but I didn't have time to fuck with the old coot properly.

I don't think most drug addicts are "victims".
Nobody forced them to take drugs.
They knew the risks and decided to go for it.
