That is possible especially since the doctor said that she was ok. The doctor cleared her to fight. Even after that, Nunes said that she was too ill to fight.

When a cautious doctor is telling the champion to fight, and the champion says "no", it looks really suspicious.

What probably happened is that Nunes Doctors saw that she was pissing hot, and she didn't want to end up disgraced by testing positive for PED's post fight, so she made up a bogus illness and withdrew.

Not so much Dana White, but the USADA testing is fucking up their business, the public wants to see dudes juiced to the gills beating the shit out of eachother, which is why Pride is so legendary to this day. When UFC became mainstream it was a blessing and a curse, they made millions of dollars and are broadcast on stations like ESPN, Spike, Fox , but also had to adhere to corporate pressure and media pressure regarding doping. This was supposed to be a stacked card. Supposed to have cerrone v. Lawler. Supposed to have Garbrandt.. Supposed to have Nunes... Allll went to shit.

That 115lb girl champ even wanted to fight on 1 day notice still pushing for it up to just an few hours till them right but "rules and laws" wouldn't "let it happen".. Fucken lame. Let her sign a waiver and pay her some.money and let her fight who gives a fuck.

That could very well be as well but the stories I'm hearing is making other big names come to Bellator not renewing their contracts. From a personal experience, Dana keeps offering Kongo to come back especially now with his five fight win streak for big money and he's refusing. He doesn't treat his fighters right. Even right now I believe the UFC is looking for buyers to buy out the entire lightweight division but I forgot the story on that.

They can either sell the div or "lease out" the fighters to other orgs like what UFC did when they let Liddell fight in Pride yrs ago. Or they cpuld place the div on other cards like Invicta women's ppvs or whatever. Its not paying for itself and they're not breaking even on the guys fights. He'll they didn't even think mighty .house was worth buying new belts for. Lol

Couple years ago i trained a girl who was in town for the Dinah Shore golf tourney. Next day she came in with Michelle Wei and found out it was her girlfriend. Never occurred to me Michelle Wei was a dyke.. Never got the lesbian vibe from the gf either... It never should've been on the top of the card to begin with. Even the UFC has gone politically correct.

Nobody really gave a shit that the fight got canceled as the rest of the card was pretty solid. Given a choice of one or the other, do you think anyone would've preferred to see the woman's fight over Whitaker and Romero?

On a bodybuilding board everyone should know what happened....tried to drop ridiculous weight for weigh in then carb up and be 20-25 lbs heavier and stronger than her opponent..but tricky...can end up just weak and fucked if timed wrong

Nunes should have been stripped, this is happening way too much with the UFC, if she cleared and wont fight automatically the belt should be given to the opponent who made weight. Dana has really handled this type of thing badly and now its like nearly every second card has this type of issue. There are more fights cancelled on the scales in UFC than in boxing.
