If Floyd is anywhere near his best McGregor won't even land a punch before he's knocked out, Mayweather would never agree to lighter gloves with Manny even fighting him 5 years past his best as he knew manny could knock him out with lighter gloves even without landing flush.

 Mayweather using the lighter gloves means he is that confident that Connor won't hit him and the lighter gloves say to me he won't take any chances with him either this could all be over fairly quickly as no one is saying McGregor can't punch, he can and with those gloves he could knock floyd out, but he won't hit him and Floyd won't take a chance either KO in round one.
