Lions are magnificent creatures. A large male lion is a force of nature! Have you ever seen a large male lion up close? You'd shit your fucking pants. Weak my ass. What is this fucking feminine shit???!

I've seen both lions and cape buffalo on safari in South Africa, from about 10 feet away. The cape buffalo is every bit as big as a male lion. They are both part of the big 8. And you wouldn't shit your pants if you saw a lion up  close. They are very chill animals until they are threatened or hungry. We followed a male in our safari vehicle for a good 20 minutes till he got pissed and roared at us. Magnificent animal, yes, but scary...  Elephants are far worse. A bull elephant turned and charged us without provocation. The size of a truck.

The most intimidating animals in Africa are, in no particular order, elephants, baboons, hippos, cheetahs ( they strike in a matter of seconds as I witnessed just outside a breeding enclosure) hyenas and african dogs.  But unless these creatures are looking for dinner or cornered they run away. Except the hippos. They are fucking psycho as I witnessed while taking a boat ride on the Zambezi River.

Yes you would shit your pants if you stood up close to an angry lion - and not in the comfort and safety of a safari vehicle. Are you kidding me? You would not shit your pants for long though - you would be dead in seconds.

I agree elephants are intimidating. Cheetahs more intimidating than lions? Are you smoking crack. Show me a video of a cheetah killing an adult, healthy male lion. Hyenas are scary - to a human sure. But compare a hyena to an adult male lion and it is no contest.
